Abstract

The nonlinear behavior of a self-excited, smooth air gap, cage induction generator feeding an inductive load is analyzed in this paper, allowing for the effects of machine saturation. The self autonomous system is shown to exhibit a transition from a periodic orbit to a quasi-periodic orbit through a Neimark bifurcation. © 2006 IEEE.
