| This paper discusses some of the factors which influenced the design of a language to permit natural communication with a computer. The language was primarily intended for use in CAI studies at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne but its design renders it suitable for any kind of man-computer dialogue, whether it be Socratic tutoring, enquiry training, or constructed response. Comparisons are made with similar languages. |
