Abstract

The major result is the necessary and sufficient conditions for synthesis of hazard-free asynchronous, speed-independent circuits from signal-transition graphs (STG's), one of most effective models for using control-dominated asynchronous circuits. The generalised STG model is free from the restrictions of the previous models. A procedure for synthesis of a two-level sum-of-product implementation, which is semi-modular with respect to the output signals, is presented.
