Abstract

How do we generate a new aesthetic for nature when our traditions have largely represented biology through naturalised mimetics and geometric formulae? ‘Design scrying’ is the generation of images through interface distortions that occur at reflective surfaces. ‘Dark gels’ are used as an image generating system for an alternative aesthetics of life.
