| A tri-flop can be used to build fast three-way arbiters. It is known that this device may exhibit oscillatory behaviour which is difficult to filter out. Using a small-signal dynamic model, this paper presents new conditions for avoiding oscillations that are more accurate than previously known. Some theoretical and practical limitations of these conditions are outlined. (4 References). |
