Abstract

Proceedings from the 16th IRSCL congress organised around the conference theme, 'Children's Literature Global and Local'. Papers cover the history of children's literature, critical approaches to reading children's literature, representations of youth culture, religion and sexualities in children's literature, the impacts of new media, globalisation and commercialisation on writing for children, nationality and ideology in children's literature.
