Abstract

This monograph presents the findings of a field mission that was sent to Indian Ocean Communities to assess the behaviour of Buildings and Infrastructure resulting from the Boxing Day Tsuanmi. The report and subsequent invited lectures resulting from the report have done much to inform engineers and government as to how to improve current design and construction practices.
