Transport in e-Europe (TRANEE) addresses the impact of the global economy and expanding European Union on small enterprises in the Freight and Logistics sector. A strategic framework was constructed to enable the uptake of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and to better understand the opportunities presented by the knowledge economy. TRANEE output comprises a training aid for business managers to strategically analyse the role of ICT in their businesses and to facilitate innovation. The project was funded by the European Commission’s Leonardo De Vinci Programme, and involved partners in the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
