Abstract

Modern concurrent and distributed applications are becoming increasingly complex; so, in order to provide fault tolerance, special structuring mechanisms are required to help reduce this complexity. Unfortunately, such structuring techniques are mostly introduced as design and implementation features, which complicates their employment.
