Abstract

Real-time phase correction was needed in adaptive optical synthetic aperture remote sensor system because of the need of imaging, the libration of atmosphere or carrier. It is perfect for fiber phase shifter to solve the problem. When providing voltage to the piezoelectric ceramic cylinder with fiber twisted on it, the length of fiber will change, which also changes the optical path because of the converse piezoelectric effect. The purpose of the phase adjustment could be achieved. Based on this principle, it deduces the function of phase and voltage, uses piezoelectric ceramic to form fiber phase modulation, constructs the platform of fiber optical Michelson interferometer, adjusts the phase of fiber piezoelectric ceramic phase modulator through interferometer, and finally obtains the relationship between the change of phase and voltage given to piezoelectric ceramic. The result indicates that the relationship is nearly linear, and certifies the correct of deduction, which is prepare for the next step in the optical synthetic aperture remote sensor system.
