Abstract

This edited book came into existence as a result of my concern in providing my undergraduate students with a rich and yet concise textbook bringing together state-of-the-art theoretical and practical business and entrepreneurial knowledge. However, given the breath and depth of the contents of the 15 chapters that comprise it, I feel that it could also serve as a useful contemporary textbook for postgraduate students in business related courses of study. I furthermore believe that business practitioners as well as members of the lay public interested in acquiring further current knowledge on the various aspects of business emergence, sustenance and growth could find this edited book useful especially in view of the fact that it is a selected compilation of material appearing in several best-selling textbooks published by Palgrave Macmillan publishing company.
