Abstract

The man that defined himself as a strange bird, and that has represented himself as one, begin by drawing flowers and birds and, at the age of twenty, published an important volume of naturalistic illustration on a single species of birds, the parrots. As a bird’s illustrator, Lear draw exotic but real birds; he also draw invented and nonsensical birds and included them in his nonsense poems where birds behave like people e people appear with the form and behaviour of birds.
