Abstract

The `eventual consistency' approach to updates in a distributedgraph database leaves open the possibility that edge informationmay be corrupted. The process by which this occurs is modelled, with the aim of estimating the time that it takes for the databaseto become corrupted. A fluid approximation is developed and isevaluated for different parameter settings. Comparisons withsimulations show that the results are very accurate.
