Abstract

This book represents some of the recent work of leading members of the World Historical Systems Theory Group and other scholars working on the relationship between global history and globalization processes. It includes contributions by historians, sociologists, economists and political scientists, including Jerry Bentley, Roland Robertson, Andrew Linklater, Christopher Chase-Dunn, Thomas D. Hall, David Willinson, Andre Gunder Frank, and Patrick O'Brien, among others.
