Abstract

A mid-length (40min) ethnographic documentary film exploring the experiences of a Bingo playing community of ageing Italians in Newcastle. The project researches the intersections of ageing, identity, language and a sense of home within the context of Italian migration for older community members in the North East. The project is a combined research project between the Newcastle Institute for Creative Practice (NICAP), Film at Culture Lab, and the Institute of Health & Society, Newcastle University.
