Abstract

This article looks at why the ONS population projections for London released in May 2018 (the 2016-based set) indicate a considerably lower increase than its previous set (the 2014-based set, released in 2016). It discusses how much faith should be placed in the latest figures, and points to consequent uncertainty about the rate of growth in other parts of the country
