Abstract

© 2021, British Psychological Society. All rights reserved.Schwartz Rounds have been shown to support compassion, and improve staff wellbeing (Hughes et al., 2018), however no study explored the psychological underpinning of this. The current study found short and long term impacts including reassurance, connectedness and appreciation, and Roger and Farson’s (1957) Active Listening Theory was applied and discussed.
