Abstract

The objectives of the chapter are:- Describe types of textual data available to pharmacy and health service researchers beyond traditional interview and focus group transcripts. - Discuss the benefits and challenges of using this data in relation to understanding social pharmacy and pharmacy practice.- Describe ways to collect and analyze textual data in pharmacy research. - Provide examples of how textual data can be used in pharmacy and health service research, and reflect lessons learned for researchers new to using this method.
