Abstract

This animation is a tribute to Lysekil's railway, which once transported goods and visitors to the city. Today, nature has begun to reclaim the disused tracks. When the railway was decommissioned, many locals felt disconnected from the outside world. Some hope that the railway can be revived, paving the way for a new era of prosperity and growth. Others want to convert the old tracks into a bike path, promoting more nature-friendly transportation habits. The railway symbolizes a tension between nature and technology in cities undergoing transitions. Can this tension be bridged through local dialogue and more inclusive urban planning?
