This was an idea to create a new sound using combinations of different instruments (including the Carnyx - a 2000 year old celtic boar-headed natural horn) and also to use players from different musical backgrounds e.g. Folk, traditional, classical, jazz and early music. I composed or selected all the music and arranged some of the traditional pieces for the ensemble. I did all the organisation, securing a National Touring grant from the Arts Council of England. We completed a sell-out tour in December 2000 and although this was originally intended as a one-off project audience response (and response from promoters) has led to two further mini-tours and another due for March 2003 which includes a concert and teaching workshops at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
