Abstract

Cultures vary according to the importance and sensitivity of different health-related topics. Failure to appreciate this can be a source of communication breakdown. Our interest is in possible communication barriers after stroke. We asked individuals from Asian communities who had had a stroke how difficult a range of subjects were to talk about with different people.
