A suite for strings and concertina originally commissioned by leading classical string quartet, The Lindsays in 1999. Further performances in different versions including a creative reinterpretation by a group of traditionally-based musicians in 2004. It was also performed in a distilled version at the hugely presigious opening concert of The Sage Gateshead in December 2005. The CD recording of the piece was described as "one of the years musical highlights" by the magazine Rock and Reel.
