Abstract

The chapter outlines the broad trajectory of British Euroscepticism and the historical and contemporary extent of Euroscepticism in the major and minor parties in the British party system. Secondly, the chapter examines the extent to which Eurosceptic concerns have become politically salient in the British party system. Finally, the chapter concludes by accounting for this historical and contemporary pattern of Euroscepticism in British party politics.
